I want to share something that has made a significant impact on my life: my IDealBed. This isn’t just any bed. It is an adjustable bed that I can control directly from my phone. What is particularly empowering is that I can manage it entirely on my own. My computer connects to my phone, giving me access to all my apps, including the one that adjusts my bed. It is an incredible level of convenience and independence.
The ability to adjust my bed is essential, especially when I am experiencing pain. Positioning the bed just right dramatically improves my sleep quality. One feature I love is that I can save my preferred positions, so when it’s time to rest, I am just one tap away from the ideal setup. This functionality also benefits my personal care assistants, making their work more straightforward when assisting me with getting into bed.
A key feature of this bed is the ability to adjust it so that I can sit up comfortably. This is particularly important as I continue to refine my new wheelchair. There are times during the day when I need to take breaks from my chair, and being able to sit comfortably in bed is crucial.
I also have a floor stand for my computer, which allows me to use it while I am in bed. Whether I am working, watching videos, or browsing online, I am able to stay productive and comfortable. There are some days I am in bed all day, but I promise I am not being lazy. I am just working from my most comfortable “office.”
In all honesty, this bed has significantly improved my daily life. It provides me with greater independence and comfort, and I truly can’t imagine my routine without it.

My bed is not as cool as yours but it also is mechanical and I love it! After I had baby Jack it was very helpful post surgery when my abdomen was quite weak! It would help sit me up without me having to use my abdomen muscles. I heart helpful beds ❤️ Thank you for sharing Megan!
