There are days when my cerebral palsy really takes over, and last night was one of the worst. The muscle pain was so intense, I couldn’t sleep at all. Every hour, I had to call my assistant to help me move, just hoping to find a position that didn’t hurt as much. It was one of those frustrating, exhausting nights where nothing worked.

But today, I found a little slice of comfort. I took the best bubble bath. My parents have this beautiful, old-fashioned tub that sits up off the ground, and we discovered that it’s the perfect height for my Hoyer lift to slide underneath. That wasn’t planned—it just happened to work out that way!
Since I can’t fully submerge in the water, I always lay towels over me to keep warm. It’s like creating my own little cocoon in the bath. With the towels and the warm water, I could feel my muscles start to relax. It was so soothing after such a rough night, I didn’t want to get out! And, of course, after my bath, I had my favorite V8 Energy drink to give me that extra boost, and now I’m feeling so much better.
There’s something about a bubble bath, towels to keep cozy, and a little caffeine that can turn the day around!

I have always loved how creative you are to keep thinking “outside the box” and make things work for you! So awesome that you found a way to enjoy a hot bath! Yes, truly amazing to soak tired and sore muscles!
Let’s hear it for baths! The house your Gran and I grew up in had one of those old cast iron tubs. I’m glad you found the secret of bath…tub. ♥
Ahhh! That looks so relaxing and awesome!
Yaaay!!! I LOVE baths too!! Glad you’re feeling better and hopefully you can sleep tonight!! I love you ❤️
